University of Wisconsin-Parkside junior distance runner Moriah Palmer and Bellarmine University sophomore pole vaulter Bridgette Mangold have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Mangold posted a personal best and NCAA provisional mark in the pole vault at the Engineer Invitational hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on Saturday.  She cleared 3.60 meters which currently ranks her second in the GLVC and 21st in NCAA.

This is the Lexington, Kentucky native's first weekly award of her career and she is the first Knight to be recognized by the league since Courtney McIntyre on Jan. 22, 2014.
