Maryville University senior distance runner Elizabeth Kiblinger and Lewis University jumper Phoenix Smallwood have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday. 

Smallwood won the long jump at the Olivet Nazarene Invitational with a leap of 18' 11 3/4" (5.78m), which ranks first in the GLVC and 15th nationally.

This is the Princeton, Illinois native's first weekly award of her career and she is the first Flyer to be recognized by the league since Cierra Pulliam on Jan. 26, 2016.
