Maryville University senior distance runner Elizabeth Kiblinger and Lewis University jumper Phoenix Smallwood have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday. 

Kiblinger won the mile run at the Jim Green Invitational hosted by Illinois College last Saturday.  Her winning time broke the five-minute mark as she crossed in 4 minutes, 58.78 seconds.

This is the Cape Girardeau, Missouri native’s first career Track Athlete of the Week award.
