McKendree University freshman sprinter DeMontez McCray and University of Indianapolis senior jumper Josh Bass have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Wednesday. 

McCray won the 200-meter dash this past weekend at the Olivet Nazerine Invitational. His time of 21.99 seconds is a personal best and currently ranks him first in GLVC and 11th NCAA.  He also earned runner-up honors in the 60-meter sprint with a time of 7.01 seconds.
 
This is the second weekly honor for the O’Fallon, Illinois native, as he was first honored on Dec. 16, 2015.
