University of Indianapolis junior outfielder Natalie Lalich and senior pitcher Morgan Foley were named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, in the sport of softball, the Conference office announced Monday.

Foley had a stellar week in Tennessee, earning the pitching win in all four games while striking out an impressive 54 and allowing just four earned runs in 24.1 innings of work. She also racked up double-digit strikeout totals in each game while accumulating a 1.48 ERA.

The highlight came Saturday versus Hillsdale when the All-American hurler broke the NCAA Division II record for strikeouts in a seven-inning game, fanning the maximum 21 batters while recording her fourth career no-hitter. No opposing hitter was able to put the ball in play against Foley's dominance, with the only base runners allowed coming on four walks.

The senior joined former Cal All-American and U.S. Olympian Michele Granger and Jennifer Martinez (twice) of Division III St. Joseph's College as the only pitchers in NCAA history to strike out 21 batters in a seven-inning game.

This is the Louisville, Ky., native's seventh career weekly honor, having last been selected April 21, 2015.
