Maryville University junior designated player Nikki Taylor and senior pitcher Hannah Perryman were named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, in the sport of softball, the Conference office announced Monday.

Perryman posted a 4-0 record in the circle last week, including a 3-0 mark in GLVC play. She allowed just three runs in 28 innings of work (0.75 ERA), striking out 47 and issuing only two walks.

The senior tossed her 11th shutout of the year in the league opener on Friday in a 1-0 win over UW-Parkside, striking out 17 in the two-hit complete game. She then went back in the circle for game two, tossing another two-hit complete game, striking out 14. Perryman concluded the week with a win over Lewis, limiting the Flyers to one run, while striking out nine. That victory gave her 100 career wins.

This is the Streamwood, Ill., native's 15th career weekly honor, having earned two previous selections this season, including last week March 7.
