Truman State University freshman outfielder Christa Reisinger and senior pitcher Morgan Foley were named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, in the sport of softball, the Conference office announced Monday.

Foley had one of her most dominant weeks as a collegian, racking up five wins, tossing 30 1/3 scoreless innings and striking out more than 16 batters per seven innings pitched. She amassed 70 strikeouts while allowing just five hits and five walks in all.

The week started with another no-hitter for her third of the season and sixth career. The senior fanned 15 and walked none in the shutdown performance at Walsh Wednesday, coming a dropped third strike and a hit batsman away from a perfect game.

Returning to GLVC play on the weekend, Foley started both ends of a doubleheader at Missouri S&T, cruising to wins of 10-0 and 11-1. She pitched 10 of the 12 innings at S&T, compiling 21 Ks while surrendering just two hits. Foley continued to baffle opposing hitters in Sunday's double at Drury. In game one, she recorded the first 18 outs via strikeout. With the scored tied 1-1 through three innings in game two, Foley came on in relief and pitched the final seven frames, punching out 16 while walking zero and allowing just one hit – an infield single. She kept the host Panthers scoreless until her offense finally delivered the game-winning run in the top of the 10th. Foley then struck out the side in the bottom half to seal the win. She now has recorded 35 consecutive scoreless innings.

This is the Louisville, Ky., native's eighth career weekly honor, having also earned a selection earlier this season on February 29.
