Bojan Jovicic
Indianapolis, Ind.The University of Wisconsin-Parkside’s Bojan Jovicic (Milwaukee, Wis./Hamilton) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week. The junior forward had little trouble finding the net for the Rangers in three wins last week and has been rewarded with the conference award for his efforts.

Jovicic scored seven goals and collected three assists as No. 20 UW-Parkside defeated Robert Morris College, 5-0, Kentucky Wesleyan College, 9-0, and the University of Southern Indiana, 4-1, in a span of six days.

He notched two goals including the game-winner in the Rangers’ win over Robert Morris on Aug. 29. Jovicic fired seven shots on goal and also picked up an assist.

Jovicic matched that effort with two goals and an assist in the conference-opening win over Kentucky Wesleyan on Sept. 1.

After seeing his club fall behind early to Southern Indiana on Sept. 3, Jovicic tallied a first-half hat trick and led the Rangers to a 4-1 win. He finished with an assist to go with the three goals, which also included the game winner. The victory helped the Rangers secure a 2-0 start in conference play.

He leads the conference with 17 points and seven goals and is tied for second in the league with three assists this season.

UW-Parkside improved to 4-0-0 with the victories and is 2-0-0 in the GLVC.
