William Jewell College junior sprinter Gretchen Mayes and Missouri S&T sophomore multi-event specialist Camille Baker have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced Thursday by the Conference office.

Baker finished first in the heptathlon at the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational this past weekend with an NCAA provisional mark of 4,631 points.  The effort ranks her first in the GLVC and 11th in NCAA Division II.  In addition to her provisional mark, Baker also posted a new school record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.60 seconds.

A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Baker earns her first weekly honor of the outdoor season and is the first Miner to earn Field Athlete of the Week since Taylor Cipccho on May 2, 2014.
