Quincy University senior right fielder Ryan Snyder and William Jewell College senior right-hander Austin Kretchmar have been respectively named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in the sport of baseball, the conference office announced Monday.

Snyder continued his impressive season at the plate this week recording 14 hits in 19 plate appearances, and notching 23 total bases, 12 RBI and nine runs scored in a five-game stint that included a non-conference win over Harris-Stowe and a GLVC series split with Missouri S&T.  He hit .737 over the week to raise his season average to .495, while his 12 RBI increased his season total to 46 over 25 games.  The St. Louis, Missouri native had three doubles and three home runs as well to boost his totals in those categories to team-leading 12 doubles and 10 home runs.  He collected four multi-hit games and ended with a 5-for-5 effort in game two against the Miners on Sunday. Snyder, who is currently riding a seven-game hit streak, also finished the week with a .783 on base percentage and a 1.368 slugging percentage.

This is his second PNC GLVC Player of the Week award as he was first recognized earlier this year on Feb. 29.
