Drury University junior Maximilian Hepp has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in the sport of men's tennis, the Conference announced Tuesday.

Hepp went a perfect 3-0 in both No. 1 singles and doubles this past week, helping 40th-ranked Drury to GLVC wins over Truman State (5-1) and Quincy (8-1).

Before facing league opponents, the Panthers took on No. 12 Cameron. Hepp and doubles partner Kay Bartmann defeated the No. 1 doubles duo 8-4 before Hepp went on to beat Dennis Merdan 6-1, 6-4 on Thursday.

Friday and Saturday saw two more doubles wins for the junior, as he and Bartmann beat Truman's Ryan Bunselmeyer and Matt Peterson 8-2 a day before the Panther pair won by the same score over Quincy's Patrick Kuhle and Ryan McMillan. Hepp also swept Bunselmeyer 6-0, 6-0 in singles and followed the next day with a 6-1, 6-2 besting of Kuhle.

This is the Auenwald, Germany, native's fifth career weekly honor and his second this season, as he was also selected on February 23.
