Lewis University sophomore middle distance runner Zoe Mead and William Jewell College senior multi-event specialist Margaret Perko have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Perko won the heptathlon at the MIAA/NSIC Showdown this past weekend with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 4867 points.  She is currently ranked first in the GLVC and seventh nationally.

A native of Carlisle, Massachusetts, Perko earns the second weekly honor of her career as she was also recognized on April 2, 2015.
