Maryville University senior outfielder Mitch Carriger and University of Wisconsin-Parkside sophomore left-handed pitcher Tyler Jandron have been respectively named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in the sport of baseball, the conference office announced Monday.
 
Jandron tossed a complete game shutout on Sunday, powering the Rangers to a 3-0 upset of 19th-ranked Indianapolis on Sunday.  The Negaunee, Michigan native tallied five strikeouts on the afternoon while allowing just two hits and two walks in the seven-inning encounter. The game was Jandron's second shutout of his career.

This is the first weekly award of his career and the first for a Ranger since Mario Samuel was recognized on April 1, 2014.
