Lewis University junior distance specialist Amanda Farrough and senior jumper Amber Cook have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office.

Farrough ran an NCAA Division II automatic qualifying time of 16:05.18 at the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday in Norwalk, California.  The time put her second among all DII runners, tops in the GLVC this season, and first in the Lewis records book.

The South Bend, Indiana native garners the first weekly honor of her outdoor career.
