University of Southern Indiana senior distance runner Johnnie Guy and University of Indianapolis senior jumper Josh Bass have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office.
 
Bass placed second in the long jump at the Indiana Little State Championships with a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 7.46 meters – a mark that ranks first among GLVC competitors this season.

The Springfield, Ohio native garners his second weekly award as he was first honored on April 11, 2014.  He is the first Greyhound field athlete to be recognized by the league since Vincent Ziraldo on April 30, 2015.
