Lewis University redshirt-sophomore Dora Andrejszki has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in the sport of women’s tennis, the Conference announced Tuesday.
Andrejszki went 4-0 in combined singles and doubles action last week for GLVC matches, helping Lewis to a 5-4 win at McKendree on Friday and a 6-3 victory at Illinois Springfield Saturday. She is now winner of her last 29 matches.
Andrejszki earned an 8-1 win over her Bearcat foes to start the match at doubles before going on to best Kelcie Comley 6-0, 6-1. The very next day, the redshirt-sophomore swept her Prairie Star doubles opponents 8-0 and then won 6-3, 6-3 against Jane Carter in singles.
This is the Budapest, Hungary, native’s second career weekly honor, as she was also the selection a week ago on April 12.
