Lewis University sophomore Andre Norasith has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in the sport of men's tennis, the Conference announced Tuesday.
Norasith earned two wins at No. 3 singles and two at No. 2 doubles last week to help Lewis earn two road wins against GLVC foes, including a 5-4 decision on Friday at McKendree and 6-3 at Illinois Springfield Saturday. Additionally, he was only one of two Flyers to win all his matches.
He started the week with an 8-6 doubles win versus the Bearcats and took his other doubles victory against the Prairie Stars the very next day, 8-2.
At singles against McK's Maico Egbers, Norasith won 6-2, 6-1 and then defeated UIS's Santiago Pedraza 6-1, 6-1.
