The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) has named University of Indianapolis freshman Katharina Keilich its GLVC Women’s Golf Player of the Month for April, it was announced Monday. She earned the honor following a vote from the league’s women's golf coaches.

Keilich played 10 rounds in four tournaments last month and compiled a 75.7 stroke average.

The highlight came April 22-24 when she shared medalist honors with teammate Kylie Raines at the GLVC Women’s Golf Championship, carding a 73-74-74—221, having led from start to finish.

Earlier in the month she competed in three other events – all against Division I opponents – first at the IPFW Spring Classic (73-77) April 3-4, then at the Ball State Triangular (75-77) April 10 and finally the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational (76-80-78) April 16-17. Her 150 at IPFW and 152 at Ball State were good for first place in the fields, while she took 37th with a 234 at Ohio State.

The Wetzlar, Germany, native earns back-to-back monthly honors as she was also voted the March winner just a few weeks ago.
