Lewis University’s Stephan Bolt (Downer’s Grove, Ill.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The senior forward posted his seventh double-double of the season in the Flyers’ 79-63 win at Northwood on Saturday.
Bolt poured in a game-high 21 points and recorded a season-best 22 rebounds in the victory. He finished 8-for-13 (.615) from the field and 4-for-9 (.444) from the free-throw line. Bolt canned his only three-point field goal attempt and also had an assist, steal and blocked shot in the contest.
He is now averaging 16.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game this season. Bolt is shooting 59.3 percent from the field on the year. He leads the league in rebounding and ranks in the top ten in scoring, field goal percentage and blocked shots (11).
Bolt has led the Flyers in rebounding in eight of their ten contests and has posted the top scoring output in three.
The Flyers (8-2, 1-1) have won five of their last six games and two straight. Lewis will host Saint Joseph’s and UIndy this weekend.
