Rockhurst University junior outfielder David Stober and University of Southern Indiana junior pitcher Lucas Barnett were named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, in the sport of baseball, the Conference office announced Monday.

Barnett posted his sixth win of the year and helped Southern Indiana to the GLVC East Division title with a complete game victory at Indianapolis. The junior threw seven innings from the mound, allowing one run on five hits, while striking out four.

This is the Sellersburg, Ind., native’s first career weekly honor, and he makes it back-to-back selections for a Screaming Eagle as T.J. Decker was last week's honoree May 2.
