Maryville University sophomore forward Pontus Gitselov and Drury University sophomore goalkeeper Nicolas Helin have earned the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week honors for the 2016 men’s soccer season, it was announced by the league office Monday.

-Scored three goals and an assist for seven points
-Had a goal and was credited with an assist on the game-winner vs. Christian Brothers
-Had a pair of goals, including game-winner, in come-from-behind win over Delta State
-Led Saints in shots with five
-Earns his first Offensive Player of the Week award
-First-ever Maryville Offensive Player of the Week honoree
