University of Illinois Springfield senior Jocelyn Matsen has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women’s golf, it was announced by the Conference office on Thursday.

- Captured medalist honors by five strokes with a 36-hole score of 143 (70-73)

- Carded the best score in the field in both rounds
- Was the only player to finish round and tournament under par
- Opening round 2-under-par 70 tied school record for lowest 18-hole round
- Her 143 set the school record for lowest 36-hole round
- Became the first player in UIS history to finish a 36-hole tournament under par
- Earns her first career Player of the Week award*
- First-ever UIS Player of the Week
