University of Indianapolis senior middle blocker Shelby Ruffner and Quincy University junior libero Rachel Shores have been selected as the Baden Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week for volleyball, it was announced by the league office Monday. 
 
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Team Results: 3-1 W vs. Bellarmine, 3-1 W vs. Southern Indiana

• Hit .491 while averaging 3.75 kills and 1.25 blocks per set
• Tallied 17 kills against Bellarmine that was one shy of a career-high mark
• Hit .429 (17-2-35) against BU with six blocks (one solo) and a season-high 20.5 points
• Notched a career-best .611 attack percentage, totaling 13 kills and on two errors on 18 swings against Southern Indiana
• Added four blocks (one solo) for 15.5 points against USI
• The two matches marked her fourth and fifth with at least 10 kills this season
• Has had four or more blocks in the last six matches
• Earns her first career Offensive Player of the Week award
