INDIANAPOLISKentucky Wesleyan College’s Jeff Fahnbulleh (Los Angeles, Calif.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Fahnbulleh, a senior forward for the Panthers, averaged a double-double in three victories last week.

 

In Kentucky Wesleyan’s 79-64 win over Oakland City on Tuesday, Fahnbulleh posted a game-high 23 points and added 12 rebounds. He was 7-for-9 (.778) from the field in the win.

 

Fahnbulleh returned on Thursday night to record a career-high with 23 rebounds in the Panthers’ 77-69 win over visiting SIU Edwardsville. He also netted a game-high 25 points and finished 9-for-13 (.692) from the field.

 

The Panthers topped Quincy 81-70 on Saturday afternoon and Fahnbulleh posted another career-high with 31 points. He shot 12-for-15 (.757) from the field and also pulled down 12 rebounds and chipped in two assists.

 

For the week, Fahnbulleh averaged 26.3 points and 15.7 rebounds per game. He shot 75.7 percent from the field, 6-for-8 (.750) from the three-point line and 17-for-22 (.773) from the free throw line.

 

He is averaging 17.7 points and 11.6 rebounds per game this season while helping the Panthers win 12 of their past 13 games.

 

Kentucky Wesleyan (17-3, 7-2) will return to action at Rockhurst and Drury this week.

 

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Drury’s Collins Harris, Missouri-St. Louis’ Paul Paradoski, Rockhurst’s John Torson, Saint Joseph’s Devin Thomas, Southern Indiana’s Norman Plummer, UIndy’s DeAndre Brock and UW-Parkside’s Kyle Clark.
