University of Indianapolis junior forward Sydney Brackemyre has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women's basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

  • Averaged team-high 17.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game in two regional wins

  • Notched a double-double with 20 points and 16 rebounds against Findlay
  • Scored another double-double vs. Walsh with 14 and 10
  • Totaled six blocks, four assists and two steals
  • Led UIndy to its first 2-0 start since 2012-13
  • Earns her first career Player of the Week award
