NDIANAPOLIS – McKendree University sophomore sprinter Demontez McCray and University of Indianapolis junior thrower Austin Hogan have been respectively named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week of the 2016-17 season, it was announced by the conference office Tuesday. 

MEN’S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Team Competition:  Indianapolis Season Opener (No Team Scoring)

• Placed second with NCAA Provisional qualifying time of 6.87 seconds in the 60 meters, ranking second in the GLVC and sixth nationally this season
• Cut the tape with a GLVC-best and NCAA Provisional time of 21.60 in the 200 meters, good for third in NCAA Division II
• Third career GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor (2/10/16, 11/16/15)
• Last McKendree Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Demontez McCray (2/10/16)
