Maryville University senior Nate Rodriguez has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Wrestler of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office on Tuesday.

- 5-0 en route to his second-straight Midwest Classic championship at 141 pounds
- Defeated the nation's No. 1 wrestler 7-2 in the bracket finale
- Registered two technical falls and a pin on the weekend, outscoring opponents 48-4
- Currently ranked No. 4 at 141 in DII Wrestling Coaches Association rankings
- *Third career GLVC Wrestler of the Week honor (11/15/16, 11/23/15)
- Last Maryville Wrestler of the Week: Zeb Wahle, 184 (12/13/16)
*Despite the 2016-17 campaign being the first official season of sports sponsorship, the GLVC has awarded Wrestler of the Week since the 2014-15 season.
