University of Southern Indiana junior distance runner Bastian Grau and Saint Joseph’s College junior jumper Phil Thompson have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Wednesday.

• Placed second in the 3,000 meters in 8 minutes, 36.19 seconds (8:30.26 converted), just one tenth behind teammate Chase Broughton and two hundredths ahead of teammate James Cecil for a USI 1-2-3 finish
• Effort ranks second in the GLVC on the season
• Finished first in the 800 meters in 1:56.84 (1:55.20 converted)
• Time rates first overall in the GLVC this year
• First career GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor
