University of Southern Indiana senior guard Tanner Marcum has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

  • Averaged 24.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.0 steals to lead USI to a 2-1 week against GLVC teams
  • Began week with career-high 30 points against No. 4 Bellarmine, adding six rebounds and three assists
  • Snapped UW-Parkside’s three-game winning streak by tallying 24 points, three rebounds, four assists and five steals with her best shooting performance of the week, hitting 9-of-15 (60%) attempts
  • Racked up 20 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals in the win over No. 24 Lewis, including six points and four assists during a decisive 22-0 run in the third quarter that gave USI a 61-39 lead
  • Finished the week with a 1.8 assist-to-turnover ratio while shooting 55.0% (22-40) from the field, 54.5% (6-11) from long range and 88.9% (24-27) from the foul line
  • Earns her first career Player of the Week award
