Bellarmine University junior sprinter Meghan Roby and McKendree University junior jumper Ciara Jones have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday. 

WOMEN’S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Ciara Jones, McKendree
Jr., Jumps/Hurdles, O’Fallon, Illinois
Team Competition:  Principia Relays (No Team Scoring)
 

• Jumped an indoor personal best and earned a second-place result in the triple jump with an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark of 11.78 meters (38’7.75”)
• Distance currently ranks second in the GLVC and 13th nationally
• Provisional standard marked the first of her indoor career
• Also won the long jump with a jump of 5.22 meters (17’1.5”), while also running a leg on the 4x200-meter relay
• First career GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor
• Last McKendree Indoor Field Athlete of the Week: LaTia Jefferson (2/5/14)
