Truman State University senior distance runner Laura Tarantino and Bellarmine University sophomore jumper Yashira Rhymer-Stuart have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Wednesday.

  • Coasted to a 47-second victory in the 5,000 meters in a converted bank track time of 17 minutes, 34.35 seconds, which ranks second in the GLVC
  • Currently rates sixth in the GLVC in the mile and seventh in the 3,000 meters
  • First career GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor
  • First eve GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week award for Truman State
