University of Southern Indiana senior distance runner Chase Broughton and University of Indianapolis thrower Austin Hogan have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Wednesday. 

MEN’S INDOOR FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Team Competition:  Hillsdale “Wide Track” Classic (No Team Scoring)

• Recorded a pair of top-three finishes in the 35-pound weight throw (17.75 meters) and the shot put (16.87m)
• Both marks eclipsed the NCAA Provisional Qualifying standard
• Currently ranked first in the GLVC in the shot put and second in the weight throw
• Third career GLVC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor (12/13/16, 12/7/16)
• Last Indianapolis Indoor Field Athlete of the Week: Austin Hogan (12/13/16)
