University of Southern Indiana senior distance runner Chase Broughton and University of Indianapolis sophomore thrower Austin Hogan have repeated as Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Tuesday. 

MEN’S INDOOR TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Chase Broughton, Southern Indiana
Sr., Distance, Marengo, Indiana
Team Competition:  Grand Valley State’s Big Meet

• Captured the 3,000 meters in 8 minutes, 7.07 seconds, knocking nearly 30 seconds off his personal best
• Effort currently ranks first in the GLVC, second in school history, and sixth in Division II this year
• Just 18 hours later, he returned to split 4:04.6 on the anchor for USI’s Distance Medley Relay teams
• The relay squad finished second overall in 9:47.61, which ranks first in the GLVC, third nationally, and ninth in Division II history
• Second-straight and second career GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honor (2/817)
