Lewis University senior Mate Srdanovic has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

Team Results: W, 6-3 at Hillsdale | W, 6-3 at Mercyhurst | W, 6-3 at Walsh | W, 6-3 at Findlay
 
  • Won all four singles and all four doubles matches to help Lewis go 4-0 on the road against three Midwest Region opponents and the No. 6 team in the Atlantic Region, Mercyhurst
  • Played at No. 1 doubles all four matches with partner Alan Braschinsky, scoring wins of 8-2, 8-6, 8-3 and 9-8, respectively
  • Started singles play at No. 2, winning 6-2, 6-0 against Hillsdale’s Justin Hyman followed by two more No. 2 victories against Mercyhurst’s Joaquin Aguilera (6-2, 6-4) and Walsh’s Felix Zimmermann (6-2, 6-1) before finishing the week at No. 1 by besting Findlay’s Oriol Ferrer in a 6-1, 6-4 win
  • Earns his first career Player of the Week award
