Kentucky Wesleyan College’s Jeff Fahnbulleh (Los Angeles, Calif.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The senior forward posted his 12th and 13th double-doubles of the season last week in victories over UIndy and Saint Joseph’s.

 

In Thursday’s 81-63 win over visiting UIndy, Fahnbulleh poured in a game-high 23 points and added 12 rebounds. He finished the night 9-for-16 (.563) from the field and also collected an assist and steal. In addition, he was perfect from the free throw line, canning 4-of-4 attempts.

 

Fahnbulleh returned in Saturday’s 79-70 win over Saint Joseph’s to score a game-high 25 points. He was 8-for-10 (.800) from the field and pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds. He tied a career-high with three assists in the victory and also made a season-high nine free throws (9-for-11).

 

For the week, Fahnbulleh averaged 24 points and 15 rebounds per game. He shot 65.4 percent from the field and 86.7 percent from the free throw line. Fahnbulleh has led the Panthers in scoring in nine straight games and rebounding in 12 straight contests.

 

Kentucky Wesleyan, 21-3 overall, has reeled off seven straight wins and sits alone atop the GLVC East Division standings with an 11-2 conference record. The Panthers will next visit UW-Parkside on Thursday.

 

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included Bellarmine’s Dzaflo Larkai, Drury’s Adam White, Lewis’ Jason Genova, Rockhurst’s Joey Deas, SIU Edwardsville’s T.J. Gray, Southern Indiana’s Norman Plummer, UIndy’s DeAndre Brock and UW-Parkside’s Dave Keane.
