Quincy University senior second baseman Jake Walters and University of Illinois Springfield junior pitcher Ethan Howard have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in a 12-6 defeat at No. 27 North Georgia on Friday
• Blasted another homer and went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI in Saturday’s 12-0 win over Albany State
• Slammed a three-run homer in the ninth inning Sunday to stretch lead over Florida Tech to 8-4
