Missouri S&T junior catcher/designated hitter Lucas Swindle and University of Wisconsin-Parkside junior pitcher Max Widmar have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• Hit .500 (8-for-16) with five extra base hits and six RBI in four-game sweep of Wayne State (Neb.)
• Opened 3-for-4 with a double in a 12-11 comeback win on Saturday
• Followed with three-run, inside-the-park home run in game two to help S&T to a 10-4 win
• Posted a double in a 1-for-3 effort in game one on Sunday
• Finished 3-for-4 with three RBI, a double and a triple in 10-2 victory
• Did not commit an error in 14 fielding opportunities at catcher and right field
• Earns first career Player of the Week award
