Quincy University senior second baseman Jake Walters and Bellarmine University sophomore pitcher Alex Phillips have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

• In series opener against USI, went 2-for-3 with two doubles and an RBI
• Was 1-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored with a home run in Saturday’s contest
• Completed series 2-for-2 at the plate, with one home run, one RBI and two runs scored
