Lewis University redshirt-junior Dora Andrejszki has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women’s tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

  • Helped Lewis to a perfect 4-0 homestand last week that included two league wins over regionally ranked Maryville (No. 7) and Rockhurst (No. 8) as well as two in-region victories, including an upset over No. 35 Northwood and a shutout against regionally-ranked Ferris State (No. 9)
  • Won all four No. 1 singles matches in straight sets
    • Beat Maryville’s Sarah Etter 6-2, 6-3 and Northwood’s Olesia Riabchuk 6-4, 6-2 back-to-back on Friday
    • Topped the Midwest Region’s 12th-ranked Teodora Stefanovic of Ferris State, 6-1, 6-1, before beating Rockhurst’s Emma Schelbe 6-0, 6-1 on Sunday
  • Took wins in all four No. 1 doubles contests with partner Nora Mindiyarova
    • Won 9-8 against Vlaskamp and Anderson of Maryville before besting Northwood’s Aniskina and Pavych 8-3
    • Defeated Ferris State’s Stefanovic and Kissinger 8-1 after an 8-4 win past Rockhurst’s Schelbe and Vrugteveeen
  • Earns fourth career Player of the Week award (3/7/17, 4/19/16, 4/12/16)
