University of Indianapolis sophomore Hanna Volikova has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women’s tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

Team Results: W, 6-3 vs. No. 47 Grand Valley State | W, 9-0 at McKendree
 
  • Went a combined 4-0 in No. 1 singles and doubles
  • Helped No. 13 UIndy to a neutral-site regional win over No. 47 GVSU and a league victory at McKendree
  • Won a come-from-behind match over the Midwest region’s 11th-ranked player in GVSU’s Madison Ballard 3-6, 7-5, 10-5
  • Partnered with Florence Renard to defeat Ballard and Sumner 8-2 on Saturday
  • Turned around Sunday to win in straight sets over McKendree’s Anna Mernick 6-0, 6-0
  • Shutout Mernick and Tori Lindsay with Renard 8-0 prior to the singles’ sweep
  • Earns third career Player of the Week award (2/14/17, 3/29/16)
