Quincy University junior outfielder J.C. DeMuri and University of Wisconsin-Parkside sophomore pitcher Nate Stolte have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week in baseball, it was announced by the Conference office on Monday.

  • Pitched a complete game, seven-inning shutout against No. 19 Saint Joseph’s in Sunday’s opening 5-0 win
  • Needed just 82 pitches to complete the game, which saw him strike out five, allow no walks and just four hits, with no runner reaching second base
  • Earns first career Player of the Week award
