University of Indianapolis junior Nils Hoffacker has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

Team Results: W, 7-2 vs. Lewis | W, 9-0 at Illinois Springfield
 
  • Went a combined 4-0 in singles and doubles, helping UIndy pick up a home and road GLVC win
  • Ran his win streak to 10 in singles with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over the 13th-ranked player in the Midwest, Alan Brachinsky of Lewis, at No. 2
  • Followed the next day with a 6-0, 6-4 win over UIS’s Sam Clarke in the same slot
  • Paired with Marco Razo at No. 3 doubles for 8-1 and 8-2 wins, respectively, against Lewis’ Benjamin Kasbeer and Anton Levitin as well as UIS’s Christian Timm and Parker Featherston
  • Earns first career Player of the Week award
