University of Southern Indiana junior distance runner Bastian Grau and Saint Joseph’s College junior jumper Phil Thompson have been named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the 2017 season, it was announced by the Conference office Wednesday.

Team Competition:  Puma Invitational (No Team Scoring)
 
  • Won the triple jump with a new school record and NCAA provisional mark of 15.65 meters (51’4.25”)
  • Effort is second in Division II and just 12 centimeters from the NCAA automatic qualifying standard
  • Also placed second in the long jump with a leap of 7.06 meters
  • Second career GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor (3/31/16)
