University of Indianapolis senior Arklon Huertas del Pino has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in men’s tennis, it was announced by the league office Tuesday.

- Capped the regular season with a 4-0 mark in No. 1 singles and doubles, helping UIndy go undefeated in the GLVC and earn the No. 1 East seed in the league’s postseason tournament
- Defeated No. 23 James Hardiman in come-from-behind fashion 3-6, 6-1, 10-3 to avenge his lone loss of the season when Hardiman beat him in the fall’s ITA Regional quarterfinals
- Followed with a straight-set win against Saint Joseph’s Nicolas Palacio 6-1, 6-1, completing the dual match season a perfect 16-0
- Partnered with Andy Morlet to beat the fifth-ranked duo in the Midwest in USI’s Hardiman and Denis Davydov, 8-5, before following with an 8-4 win over SJC’s Palacio and Joe Comerford
- Earns sixth career Player of the Week award (3/28/17, 3/21/17, 3/7/17, 3/29/16, 3/22/16)
