Truman State University junior distance runner Michaela Hylen and Lewis University senior jumper Phoenix Smallwood have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, it was announced by the Conference office Thursday.

Team Competition:  Kansas Relays (No Team Scoring)
 
  • Trimmed a few hundredths of a second off her season-best time in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase with an effort of 11:11.62 to claim third place at the Kansas Relays
  • She is currently tops among all GLVC competitors in the Steeplechase
  • First-ever Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honoree for Truman
