Lewis University freshman sprinter Allie Heinzer and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Lissette Mendivil have earned the final Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors of the 2017 season, it was announced by the Conference office Thursday.

  • Placed as highest non-Division I finisher in the hammer throw (51.35 meters) and discus (47.84m)
  • Currently ranked first and fourth among GLVC throwers in the two events, respectively
  • Effort in the discuss ranked her among the top 15 in NCAA Division II
  • Third career GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor (4/27/16, 4/6/16)
