University of Southern Indiana senior James Cecil and junior Hope Jones have been named the first Great Lakes Valley Conference Runners of the Week for the 2017 men’s and women’s cross country season, it was announced by the Conference office on Wednesday.

Team Result:  3rd/12 Teams, 74 points, Appalachian State Covered Bridge Open (Boone, N.C.)
  • Finished fourth over a muddy, rain-soaked 5,000-meters course in 17 minutes, 56 seconds
