University of Indianapolis senior quarterback Jake Purichia and senior kicker Brad Schickel, as well as Quincy University junior linebacker Cody Leonard, have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

  • Finished an efficient 11-for-16 passing for 267 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions
  • Had six completions of 37 yards or more, including lengthy TD passes of 52 and 48 yards
  • Added 47 rushing yards on seven attempts for 6.7 yards per rush
  • Currently leads the GLVC in completion percentage and passing efficiency
  • Earns his first Offensive Player of the Week award
