University of Indianapolis senior quarterback Jake Purichia and senior kicker Brad Schickel, as well as Southwest Baptist University senior linebacker Brycen Gagnon, have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

  • Registered game-high 11 tackles to go along with 2.0 tackles for loss
  • Recorded 20-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown
  • Led a defensive unit that held Quincy to 132 yards of total offense – tied for eighth-lowest in GLVC history
  • Helped limit the Hawks to 1-for-13 in third-down conversions
  • Earns his second Defensive Player of the Week award (9/19/16)
