University of Indianapolis senior quarterback Jake Purichia and senior kicker Brad Schickel, as well as Southwest Baptist University senior linebacker Brycen Gagnon, have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week in football, it was announced by the league office Monday.

  • Accounted for 447 of the team’s 477 yards of total offense
  • Finished 20-of-32 passing for career-high 342 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions
  • Ended as game’s leading rusher with personal-best 105 yards on eight carries (13.1 ypc)
  • Rushing performance marked the first time a UIndy QB went for triple digits since 2003
  • Threw TD passes of 45, 32, 37 and 22 yards
  • Leads the GLVC in completion percentage (71.4)
  • Ranks second in NCAA Division II in yards per pass attempt (11.2) and third in passing efficiency (200.7)
